Our recommendations:

To eat out

All beach bars in Cupra Marittima, Grottamare and San Benedetto del Tronto are open for the high season in summer. The offer seems limitless. There are mainly fish dishes, but inland there are more meat dishes. Pizza is of course everywhere.

Buy wine

Every supermarket has a wide range of local wines. But it is much more fun to visit the wineries directly, to taste and buy them on site. For example on the contrada (small street) "Santa Maria in Carro" between Acquaviva and Offida. Here you will find the wineries "Ciu Ciu", "Simone Capecci" and "Aurora" close together and a wonderful view over the vineyards on top of that.

Monte Conero

Swimming in beautiful bays and hiking on marked routes. For example to the Abbey of San Pietro de Conero or to the cliff over the Wolf Pass to the Spiaggia Due Sorelle (starting point is the Sirolo cemetery). The old town of Sirole itself has to be seen. We particularly recommend the stylish little fish restaurants right on the beach.

Offida

Offida is a wine stronghold with many small vinotheques, restaurants and street cafes. The tradition of lacework lives here.
In Offida there is always a reason to celebrate - especially at Mardi Gras.
The church "Santa Maria della Rocca" is a little gem. Take a 3D tour by clicking on the picture.

San Benedetto del Tronto

The largest market in the area takes place here every Tuesday and Friday morning. Household goods, fashion, fruit, vegetables, ... almost everything is available here. Snack bars and many cafes invite you to take a break. The beach along the Palm Riviera is lined with "in" bars. You can buy fresh fish in the mornings in the fishing harbor.

Ripatransone

A charming medieval town 500m above the sea.
The many churches are reminiscent of the former bishopric. The historical theater and many small museums offer astonishing cultural diversity. Surrounded by the old city wall, you have a fantastic view in all directions. The Bar Centrale invites you to enjoy homemade sweet delicacies on the terrace above the roofs of Ripatransone.

Grottamare

In addition to the well-known seaside resort of Grottamare, there is the "old", the historical "Grottamare alta". Narrow streets, small bars and great parties. For example the "Juttenizie", a 6-course menu where each course is served in a different restaurant. A highlight, accompanied by artists and music groups, that should not be missed.

Ascoli Piceno

Romanesque churches, Roman ruins, medieval towers and small, contemplative streets. The Cafe Meletti is a "must", small pizzerias, grocers and posh shops. Markets and lots of great events. There is something going on here all year round.
Ascoli Piceno always dresses up very special at Christmas and many other festivals. In the glow of the lights of the Christmas market you feel transported into a fairytale world.

Monte Sibillini

In June there is a sea of colors in wildflowers and especially the blue of the lentil blossoms. In the middle, like in a painting, the town of Castelluccio sits enthroned on a hill.
The Monte Sibillini ski area can be reached in approx. 60 minutes. Fantastic hiking tours with rustic refreshment stops. A worthwhile excursion destination in every season.

Bus trip to Rome

Early in the morning by bus from the Piazza in Cupra Marittima comfortably and directly to the center of Rome. The Eternal City is best explored on foot anyway. Enjoy the day to the full, buses return until late in the evening.
